Foodie Attains Enlightenment in Midtown by Eating Mixed Plate
Zach Brooks (the midtown lunch guy) reluctantly agreed to come out for lunch with me on a few conditions; One, no comps, and two, he picks. Sounds fair right? Turns out that everything’s coming up Milhouse for the Foodie this month as Zach selects one of my favorite places for cheap food in the entire city. Here’s my review on Yelp earlier this year:
But there is some confusion to which halal cart is which. Zach clears it up with some clever detective work. After purchasing two mixed plates, we sat down outside to get the full experience of wintertime vendor fare. We rapped about life, families, coasts, projects, traffic and strategy. The move to LA coincides with new plans to transform the Midtown Lunch into a brand beyond the boundaries of 34th and 59th. He’ll miss the city, but he’ll be back from time to time, if only to enjoy some of the delicious street meat only Midtown can do. Zach tried to play camera shy at first, I think he was just hamming it up: |

Great to finally know what ZB looks like. Love your new hair do, Hagan.
haha… I didn't say you have to pay! I even offered to pay! I just said I wouldn't allow the restaurant (or cart) to comp our meals. :-)
Yes, Zach is telling the truth, I should change that
