It’s at Precious Chinese Cuisine in Hoboken. Go there and you will not be disappointed – actually . . . you’ll be ecstatic.
Mr. Steve Obstein enlightened me on this Chicken after we saw Jay-Z rock No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn at the All Points West festival this year. The concert was rainy, but it didn’t deter concertgoers from watching some of the best acts in American Music today. Jay-Z is a great showman. I’m not a big fan of rap, but the guy can work a crowd.
About the chicken – I was flabbergasted. I don’t usually get sesame chicken, but Steve let me know it was a must (I almost didn’t order it because he was getting it also). It won’t be the last time that I will be satisfied ordering one thing knowing that we’re all going to share whatever arrives, but it’s hard to remember the last time that happened.
The Chicken: It wasn’t overglazed, piping hot when it came, the sesame seeds might have been lightly toasted (I don’t remember, we were pretty far gone at that part of the evening) and gave the chicken a great crunch. Our friend Marf didn’t see what all the fuss was about, but when I said “It starts out like a Buffalo wing . . .” fellow Buffalonian Obstein looked at him and frustratedly exclaimed “See! That’s what I said! It’s God damn Amazin!”
So, to conclude: God damn Amazin’ Sesame Chicken at Precious Chinese Cuisine in Hoboken. Try some. I even gave you God damn directions.
