Recent praise has come to some of these so-called “crossover” artists who take two or more genres of music and mesh them into something original. Two such artists that immediately come to mind are Kid Rock and Beck, whose stardom is due in large part to their willingness to buck the trends, creating new and unique synergies in the process.
In it’s most raw form, sales is performance art. You create interest, excitement, and incite action by your words. I figured that I’d start taking cues from some of these artists, and it’s been working quite well for me. I’m getting far more calls returned when I end with “. . . my number is (XXX) 340-4011. Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you . . . SMOKE WEED EVERY DAY.“
